Jenny Chen (she/her) is an executive editor at the Ballantine Books Group acquiring mysteries, thrillers, suspense, crime fiction. She joined Ballantine in 2020 and has since published various New York Times bestsellers, book club picks, award-winning mysteries, and critically acclaimed works. Previously she was at Crooked Lane Books.
Jenny is looking for mystery, suspense, thriller, or crime novels that put fresh spins on tried and true tropes, high-concept twists, with big heart or emotion at the core, and a magnetic voice. She is especially interested in protagonists who are liars, have shifty agendas, and/or are misguided by good intentions.
